What is a Perfect Square?

• The trinomial that results from squaring a binomial is called a Perfect Square Trinomial

 

Conditions for a Perfect Square:

• If the conditions below are not met, than the trinomial is NOT a perfect square. 

1. The first and last term are perfect squares

2. The middle term is twice the product of the square roots of the first and last term.
