Expanding and Simplfying

To expand and simpify multiply the terms in the first bracket with the terms in the second bracket. For example, (x+1) (x-3) we will multiply the two x terms and x times -3. We will also multipy 1 time x and 1 times -3. Then , we will solve the brackets which is     x²-3x+1x-3. Our like terms are collected so we will simplify now and we'll be left with     x²-2x-3.
