SIMPLE TRINOMIAL

  • What is a Simple Trinomial? A trinomial which does not have a coefficent but a variable that is equal to 1.

  • When factoring a polynomial of the form x²+bx+c. For example,  9x²+ 5x+4 the 9x² is the 'a' value, 5x is the 'b' value and 4 is the 'c' value.

  • To factor simple trinomial we need 2 numbers that add to give b and the same 2 numbers that multiply to give c.
