Quadratic Formula

  • The Quadratic Formula is

  • We use Quadratics Formula when the equation is in Standard Form

  • We use it when it is not easily factored, dealing with big numbers, and to find x-intercepts

  • The Discriminant is the number inside the square root of the quadratic formula. The Discriminant tells us the number of solutions the equation has

  • If 0 is more than D, there are 2 x-intercept

  • If 0 is less than D, there are no x-intercepts

  • If  0 equals to D, there is 1 x-intercepts
