VERTEX FORM

The equation used for Vertex Form is   y= a (x-h)² + k. The vertex and a point is given which we can sub in to our equation and find our 'a' value. If we have our 'a' value we can form our equation. You are able to convert Vertex Form to Standard Form by Expanding and Simplfyng.

EXAMPLES:

We are given a graph and we have our vertex which is (4,1) and a point passing through (0,6). We need to find our 'a' value and form a equation.
